Mr Exum joined the church staff in April 2017, after the the sale of the Krystal Company in which he served as the President and CEO and served on the board of directors.
He is a forty year veteran in the retail industry as a CEO of several companies including both private and publicly held corporations.
During his tenure, Mr. Exum developed and implemented a successful strategy of acquiring poorly performing companies and returning them to competitive profitability.
Mr. Exum served 12 years as a trustee of the national board of trustees of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, the largest sports ministry in the world, where he served in various posts including two terms as chairman of the Finance Committee and a two year post as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees.
He has also served as Chairman of the advisory board of the University of Tennessee’s School of Consumer Services Management, which helps develop students that
are interested in pursuing management careers in the service industry.
Mr. Exum and his wife Karen have two grown children and live in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
