Calvary Lakewood Update: Hope and Grace

Dear Friends and Partners,

Greetings from the Mile High City! Denver still has plenty of opportunity for snowy weather remaining, but the signs of renewal are everywhere as Spring arrives. As we head into Easter weekend, we are reminded again of the deep echo in the soul of every person for hope beyond death. Written in the music and movies of our culture is the yearning to be with those we love forever. What powerfully wonderful good news the gospel offers to us because of the resurrection of Christ! Jesus said,

“Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also.” John 14:1-3

The promise offered to us and to the lost of Denver is forever together through Jesus and with Jesus! Please pray for the many lost in Lakewood to hear this good news, and for their hearts to see the beauty and hope of Christ that they might repent and believe in Him.
We are excited to hold our SPRING Eggstravanganza spring-eggstravaganza-media2-sliderevent this Saturday. Pray for the unchurched who attend this event to trust enough to accept our invitations to Easter Sunday and future opportunities to experience the community of Calvary Lakewood.

We are grateful for the ways God is at work at Calvary Lakewood. The baptism picture is of a young man I met at a department store. After several conversations about the gospel, he placed his faith in Christ, and we had the joy of helping him declare it publicly! God  is using your prayers for this church and community in powerful ways. Please continue to pray for us and to give. We are asking God to provide the remaining amount needed to amend our 2017 budget before the third quarter of this calendar year. Please pray about how the Lord would lead you to give. God bless you!

His Kingdom Come!

For our Easter Weekend. We are holding our first Good Fridayservice and our second Easter Service.

For our Spring Eggstravaganza on Saturday!

For God to draw many to himself and use Calvary Lakewood as an instrument to make his name famous!

For our people to be habitual in inviting their family, friends, neighbors, and co-workers to the community of the church.

For spiritual protection of our pastors and their families and strength in their marriages.

For an ever-growing love for Jesus Christ, the gospel, and the Church.

For wisdom and discernment in developing leaders and counseling the hurting.

That Calvary’s congregation would reflect more and more the cultural diversity of the community.
