We gather together to learn how to love God and love one another. Groups are not only the primary entry point into community within Ridgedale, they also represent the church on a personal level.
Joining a community group is the best way to truly be a part of Ridgedale. We have groups that meet on Sunday mornings (Sunday school), Home Groups during the week, and Bible Studies during the week.
What Is A Community Group?
Most community groups consist of people who meet on Sunday mornings or in a home once each week for around one to two hours to learn about God, pray, eat, laugh, and live. You do not have to be a member of Ridgedale to be a part of a community group. All are welcome! For an even more detailed look, check out this booklet.
What Should I Expect?
Expect to grow in your faith.
God designed the Christian life to be lived out in community. Christian community is one of the primary tools the Lord uses in growing us as His disciples. Practically, this looks like discussing the sermon from the previous Sunday, engaged in a specific Bible study, and praying together. Community Groups is where we begin the process to grow as Disciples.
Expect to practice the “one-anothers.”
Not only is community vital for our personal faith, but God calls us to participate in community for the good of others. As we bring our gifts and personality into our Community Groups, we seek to be a blessing to those around us. Community Groups are where a large church feels small. Where we are formed into a Family.
Expect to join in God’s mission.
Jesus is sending every Christian into our city to demonstrate and declare the Gospel, but we are not sent alone. Community Groups are one Ridgedale’s greatest tools for engaging our city with the message of Jesus.
How Do I Join A Group?
