Ryan McBride

Jesus is the center of my life and ministry. After Him come my wife and family—I can’t do ministry without their support. I am deeply grateful for my wife, Emily, and the way we co-labor in the Gospel together. I love being a husband, a father, and a pastor, in that order.

I began serving at Ridgedale in March 2014 as Student Pastor and transitioned to the role of Pastor of Discipleship and Missions in June 2018. I have a deep love for discipleship and mission—helping people grow as mature followers of Jesus and equipping the local church to live on mission, both locally and globally. Before coming to Ridgedale, I served churches in Tennessee and Kentucky. I earned my undergraduate degree from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville and my Master of Divinity from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.

I was raised in Kingsport, Tennessee, and The Hague, Holland, experiences that shaped my heart for the local church and God’s global mission. Outside of ministry, I enjoy spending time with my kids—especially anything involving basketball or baseball—hanging out with Emily, woodworking, running, swimming, biking, and cheering on the Atlanta Braves.
