Lessons From The New Testament Writers: A Study on the Writings of James, Paul, Peter, John, and Jude
Teacher: Jeremy Griggs | Wednesdays, 6–7p | RM 104-105 |
Join us for a detailed Bible study through the writings of James, Paul, Peter, John, and Jude. These letters take us into the heart of the early church as it wrestled with real challenges—false teaching, persecution, division, and the everyday struggle to live out genuine faith. Through James’s call to faith that works, Paul’s gospel-centered instruction for the church, Peter’s hope for those suffering under pressure, John’s emphasis on love and truth, and Jude’s urgent charge to guard the faith once delivered to the saints, we see God’s Word meeting His people in the middle of real life. This study will challenge us to live our faith out loud, hold firmly to sound doctrine, and love one another well in a world that often pulls us toward compromise. This is an open Bible study and you can join at any time.
Deep Discipleship: The Story of God & Our Formation
Teacher: Ryan McBride | Wednesdays, 6–7:30 pm | College Room | Starts Aug 12th | 12-Week Study | Fall Semester
Part 2 picks up where we left off. The Old Testament ended with God’s people in exile, the prophets pointing forward, and a 400-year silence. This semester, the answer arrives. We’ll walk through the New Testament — from the Incarnation to Revelation — exploring who Jesus is, what he accomplished on the cross, how we are saved, who the Holy Spirit is, and how the story of Scripture ends. Along the way, we’ll continue practicing spiritual habits that shape us into mature disciples.
This is a teaching and discussion-based class, designed to help believers grow in biblical understanding and everyday faithfulness.
Topics include:
- The Incarnation and the Kingdom of God
- Who Is Jesus? (Christology)
- The Cross, Resurrection, and Ascension
- How Are We Saved? (Salvation and the Holy Spirit)
- The Church, Baptism, and the Lord’s Supper
- How the Story Ends (Revelation and New Creation)
A student guide is provided at no cost, making it easy to follow along, take notes, and engage in discussion throughout the semester.
New to the class? Part 2 is designed to stand on its own — no prior attendance required. If you missed Part 1, you’re still welcome.
Who this class is for:
Adults at any stage of faith. No prior theological training required.

English Through Scripture (ESL Class)
Teacher: Mila Carr | Wednesdays, 6-7:30 pm | Conference Room
Learning a new language is hard — but it’s easier when you’re learning it through words that already carry meaning and hope. Our English Through Scripture class is a welcoming, beginner-friendly space where non-native English speakers can build real conversational and reading skills using the Bible as the primary text.
Each week, students practice vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, and conversation using short, accessible Bible passages. Because Scripture repeats familiar themes, names, and phrases, it gives learners a gentle, consistent framework for picking up new language patterns — while also giving them a chance to explore the Christian faith at their own pace, with no pressure to convert or participate in anything beyond the class itself.

We are excited to relaunch our Home Group Bible studies on September 2, 2026 for the fall semester! Our hope is that we’d stop settling for talking about prayer and start practicing it together, in the middle of ordinary, busy lives. Home groups meet separately for guys and girls on Wednesdays at 7pm.
For the specific address of your group, please email our College Pastor at aland@ridgedalebaptist.org. You can also DM @rbccollege on Facebook or Instagram for more info.
