1st & 2nd Kings
Teacher: Jeremy Griggs | Wednesdays, 6–7p | RM 102-103 |
Join us for a detailed Bible study on 1 & 2 Kings. The books of 1 and 2 Kings tell a sad story. The narrative begins at the height of the Israelite monarchy, as Solomon inherits the kingdom of his father, David, and goes on to acquire his own vast wealth and fame. The story ends in utter devastation, as the remaining people of the dwindling southern kingdom of Judah are carried off to Babylon in exile. There are a few bright spots along the way—the prophetic ministry of Elijah/Elisha, for instance, as well as Hezekiah’s prayer for miraculous deliverance and the reforms under Josiah—but the overall trajectory of the narrative seems to plunge inexorably downward. Yet this very pattern helps to express the meaning of the books of Kings. First and Second Kings do not merely describe a litany of decline and judgment; they highlight God’s working amid that decline to fulfill his program of redemption.. This is an open Bible study and you can join at any time.
Together: Community that Marked the Acts 2 Church
Teacher: Ryan McBride | Wednesdays, 6–7:30 pm | Ridgedale Room | Starts Feb 26th
The first generation of believers embraced the idea of “church” in a way that impacted every aspect of their lives and empowered the gospel to spread far and wide. This six-session Bible study invites us to challenge our distinctions between “Sunday Church” and the rest of our lives, to go all in with our faith and commitment to church community, and to live the truly dynamic, impactful life God has always intended for Christians to live. As we study the foundations and rhythms of the early church, we can more intentionally emulate their way of life to make a greater impact in our world today while also experiencing the fullness of God in our own lives. Discover how being deeply connected in the community of believers can transform our lives, our cities, and the world.
This is a 6-week study that starts on Feb 19th, but you’re welcome to join anytime. A study guide will be provided.

Lord, I Want to Know You: Study on the names of God
So much of our confusion and pain results because we don’t know God — who He really is, how He works in our lives. But with Lord, I Want to Know You, that will all change. When you know God more fully by studying His names — Creator, Healer, Protector, Provider, and many others — you’ll gain power to stand strong. You’ll find strength for times of trial, comfort for pain, and provision for your soul’s deepest needs. And your walk with God will be transformed. This is an open class for all ages and you can start attending at any time. It is lecture and discussion-based.
Study on the Last Days
Teacher: Teresa Regan | Wednesdays, 5–6p | Hospitality Room | $10
Join us as we look at the book Has the Tribulation Begun? by Amir Tsarfati, which explores whether current global events indicate that Tribulation trends have started. This book examines biblical prophecy, distinguishing between signs of the end times and the actual Tribulation period. Tsarfati urges believers to stay vigilant, avoid fear, and focus on spreading the gospel rather than speculating about dates. It serves as a guide to understanding eschatology from a biblical standpoint while encouraging faith and readiness.
His straightforward approach encourages believers to focus on faith, evangelism, and preparedness rather than fear or speculation. This is an open class for all ages and you can start attending at any time. It is lecture and discussion-based.
Abide: A Study of 1,2, and 3 John
Teacher: Kim Nichols | Thursdays, 9:30-11a | Starts March 6th | Ridgedale Room | $11
How can we hold onto assurance of our faith? How can we discern the truth from a lie? How can we know God loves us?
In three short letters, the apostle John reminds an early church facing division, deception, and doubt to hold fast to what they know and to live like they believe it. And he reminds us, as well. In this 10-session Bible study on the letters of 1, 2, and 3, John, Jen Wilkin helps you see how two thousand years later, his words call to Christians in similar challenges to recall a great salvation and to abide in the truth. This is lecture- and discussion-based, and you are welcome to join at any time!
Men
Standing Firm: 1st and 2nd Peter
Teacher: Michael Magro | Wednesdays, 6-7:30p | Rm 207 |
In a world filled with trials, challenges, and false teachings, the letters of 1st and 2nd Peter offer timeless encouragement and guidance for believers. This Bible study will take you through these powerful epistles, exploring themes of perseverance, holiness, and the certainty of Christ’s return.

Through engaging discussion, scripture reflection, and practical application, this study will challenge us to stand firm in our faith, live boldly for Christ, and grow in our knowledge of God’s truth. Whether you are new to these books or have studied them before, this journey will deepen your understanding and strengthen your walk with God. This is an open Bible study; feel free to join anytime.
