OCTOBER 21st – DECEMBER 9th, 2020

We are excited to re-start our Wednesday night Bible studies!  We will be requiring masks in all gathering and each class will be socially distanced. We will also NOT be offering a Wednesday night meal until further notice. Registration is not required. We love you church!

Foundations Study  | Teacher: Doug Plumlee | Wednesdays, 6:00 – 7:00 pm | Choir Suite | FREE

The focus of this class will be the Foundations reading plan.  This is an open class for all ages and you can start attending at all time. It is lecture and discussion based. Join us to discover what Scripture is teaching us from these rich Gospel filled books.

Onward | Teacher: Ryan McBride | Wednesdays, 6:00 – 7:30 pm | College Room #213 | FREE

Join us for a book study on “Onward: Engaging the Culture without Losing the Gospel.” As the culture changes all around us, it is no longer possible to pretend that we are a Moral Majority. That may be bad news for America, but it can be good news for the church. What’s needed now, in shifting times, is neither a doubling-down on the status quo nor a pullback into isolation. Instead, we need a church that speaks to social and political issues with a bigger vision in mind: that of the gospel of Jesus Christ. As Christianity seems increasingly strange, and even subversive, to our culture, we have the opportunity to reclaim the freakishness of the gospel, which is what gives it its power in the first place.   All adults are invited to join in this 6 week study starting on October 28th, but feel free to join anytime!   You can purchase the book HERE but it is not necessary to attend the class.

The Sermon on the Mount w/ Jen Wilkin | Leader: Penny Holloway | Wednesdays, 6:00 – 7:30 pm | Library | $10

The book of Hosea—it’s a deeply personal and passionate love story, yet it’s a difficult story. As an account full of harsh judgment unfolds, we find in its midst a rare and pure gem: the truest and purest of loves. Join us as we look at the book of Hosea and a study written by Jennifer Rothschild. This class is lecture, video, and discussion based and is open to all ladies.

The Book of Signs | Teacher: Teresa Reagan | Wednesdays, 5:00 – 6:15 pm | Hospitality Room | $10

This study gives a thorough explanation of everything we are to be looking for in our time and to be prepared so that when it happens, we will not be taken by surprise.  Knowing the signs should not make us fearful, but it should make us yearn even more for Jesus’ coming and do all we can to lead others in the path of righteousness and point them to Christ–the only way to God and salvation. This study is open to all ladies and if you want a book please call the church office at 423-499-0994.

Study of the Disciples | Teacher: David Holloway | Wednesdays, 6:00 – 7:30 pm | Ridgedale Room | FREE

This study is intended to help men with foundational truths as they lead their families. We will be looking at the life of each one of the disciples. The class is lecture and discussion based and is open to all men of all ages.

Childcare | 6weeks – 2-year-olds | Children’s Entrance – Infant Hallway
Preschool REACH| 3yr – Kindergarten | Children’s Entrance – Preschool Hall
REACH | 1st – 5th grade | Children’s Entrance – Children’s Hall/Worship

Kids go deeper in discipleship through REACH (Ready and Equipped to Act on God’s Word in the Church and Home). Each week, children ages 2-K dive deeper into the Gospel Project lesson for the week. They rotate between Music and Worship, a Bible Verse and activity, the Bible Story, and our Missions Moment. Our older children, grades 1-5, discuss a lesson from the current sermon Series, FOLLOW ME, to further understand the gospel. They rotate between their Bible lesson, Bible Basic Training, and Music.

Student Worship Service (House Night) | Leader: Chris Frakes | Wednesdays, 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. | GYM

All students, 6th-12th grade, can attend the midweek student worship service.

House Night is a time for students grades 6-12 to come together for a time of fellowship, community, and worship as the family of God. Gather in the gym or Living Room (across from the gym) for some hang out time before we dive into worship through song and the Word at 6:15p. We’ll wrap up the nights with a quick time in small groups to discuss the lesson and then break the night in with a challenge. Stick around after for some basketball, soccer, or just hanging out.

Stop asking Jesus into your Heart | Teacher: College Team | Wednesdays, 7:00 – 8:30 pm | Homes | Contact Alan Denton at aland@ridgedalebaptist.org for locations

In Stop Asking Jesus Into Your Heart, Greear takes a closer look at what the Bible says to bring clarity to believers and skeptics seeking answers to common questions about faith and salvation, such as How do we know we are saved? and Can we lose our faith and salvation in Christ? His answers will give assurance to the anxious and issue a challenge to those who may have become complacent. Discover how confessing Jesus as Savior and Lord is only the beginning of a challenging, yet remarkable and worthwhile life journey. This is a group study with other college aged students from the Chattanooga Area.
