Alan Denton

I have had the joy of serving at Ridgedale since August 2018. I love preaching God’s Word and investing in young adults and college students, with a passion to see disciples grow to full maturity in Christ and multiply for His glory.

My wife, Lauren, and I have been married since 2014, and she truly is the gem of our family. We love doing life together, laughing often, and serving the local church. If you’re ever looking for a sports conversation, I’m always in—Go Vols, Mocs, Titans, Braves, and Predators.

I grew up in Jefferson City, Tennessee, and by God’s grace came to faith at a young age. During my sophomore year at UT-Chattanooga, the Lord deepened my understanding of the gospel and His call to follow Christ wholeheartedly. In those years, I was baptized, discipled within the local church, met my wife, and sensed God’s call into vocational ministry.

Before coming to Ridgedale, I served four years with Baptist Collegiate Ministries of Chattanooga and two years with the Hamilton County Baptist Association. I earned my Masters of Divinity in Christian Ministry from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in December 2021. God has been incredibly faithful, and I’m grateful to serve and grow alongside the Ridgedale family.
